Hillview House - Thompson Health Care
Thompson Health Care is a leading provider of residential aged care in metropolitan Sydney, Central Coast, Southern Highlands and Mid-North Coast with 13 Nursing Homes and over 1500 employees. The newly completed Hillview House is nestled amongst lush natural bushland and is situated within the peaceful, charming town of Woy Woy, within minutes of nearby coastal townships including Ettalong Beach, Pearl Beach and Umina on the NSW Central Coast.
The Issue:
Thompson Health Care contracted Hubify to provide a mobile enhancement solution for the recently completed Hillview House Retirement Village in Woy Woy NSW. Management had realised that the mobile service throughout the new complex was unsatisfactory and needed to be upgraded to keep the residents connected. Hubify engaged Powertec to provide a solution for Thompson Health Care in the newly completed Hillview House Retirement Village in Woy Woy, NSW.
Challenges:
As the retirement village had recently been completed, there were minimal access points available to the roof, which meant it was difficult to navigate the roof spaces to install the equipment without damaging the newly finished building.
The retirement village was now starting to be populated with aged care residents, adding another challenge to navigate, without disturbing the new residents.
COVID impacted installation teams, with extra levels of care having to be taken so as not to disturb the residents.
Product Solution
An In-Building Coverage solution was implemented; installing a clustered Cel-Fi system to boost the cellular signal throughout the building. The solution covered Telstra, Optus and Vodafone mobile networks to ensure residents could stay connected in the retirement village.
