Powertec and Endangered Species Supporters Australia Partnership

Posted on

Powertec Telecommunications is excited to share our most recent social responsibility partner for 2020, Endangered Species Supporters Australia (ESSA).

The partnership will extend over the next five years, during which time Powertec will support ESSA as they spread awareness of the importance of preserving and protecting Australian native flora and fauna.

Powertec actively operates an environmentally conscious workplace and work strongly towards the protection and preservation of the environment.

The recent environmental catastrophes that have plagued Australia have inspired this partnership with ESSA and support for their five-year sustainability project.

Powertec General Manager, Samantha Clifton says Powertec aims to be a responsible business that meets the highest standard of ethics relating to corporate social responsibility.

“Our company’s social responsibility policy has two categories, one being protectiveness and the other being compliance. We desire to take every initiative to promote human rights, help communities and protect our natural environment.”

“This partnership with ESSA is our contribution to supporting a homegrown charity organisation and its efforts to protect Australian wildlife.”

Kevin Hughes Founder of ESSA, says that as part of the sustainability project, ESSA also works closely with remote farmers and communities throughout the outback to spread the word.

“We want to inform as many Australians as possible of the critical number of some native species close to extinction.”

“Educating the greater community about how they can help to minimise these rapidly decreasing numbers forms a major part of our mission.”

“We are excited to welcome support from Powertec Telecommunications; this partnership will allow us to increase awareness and the reach of our critical message.”

Powertec has provided the ESSA team with a CEL-FI GO pack to ensure they can remain connected while travelling through remote parts of Australia.

You can stay up to date on the latest information regarding our native flora and fauna on the ESSA website at essaussie.org.
