Jim’s Antennas Horsham in Victoria was engaged by his Motel client to install a Wi-Fi network that would reach all of their rooms.

INSTALLATION CHALLENGES

The Motel rooms were constructed of solid brick and concrete with double glazed windows in an effort to minimise noise between rooms, this would normally be challenging to create a strong fast wireless network.

THE ISSUE

Jim’s Antennas Horsham worked with Powertec to recommend the appropriate solution. The NEW Ruijie Reyee EAP602 was recommended & installed due to its superior coverage & antenna technology enabling great saturation of Wi-Fi, once installed all of the Brick rooms notoriously hard to push signals into had great Wi-Fi coverage & great speeds. The solution was deployed in minutes using the FREE & simple Ruijie Cloud, in fact, the coverage was that good that even after the last room full Wi-Fi coverage was still available.

THE PRODUCTS

The Ruijie Reyee Series RG-EAP602 is a high-power outdoor omnidirectional dual-band wireless access point supporting 802.11b/g/n/ac. With concurrent 2.4GHz and 5GHz, the AP supports dual-band dual-stream MIMO technology, which can provide 300Mbps at 2.4GHz, 867Mbps at 5GHz and up to 1167Mbps per AP. The built-in omnidirectional high-gain antennas provide excellent coverage, supporting up to 164 users.

With the mobile app, users can quickly complete the device deployment and configuration, remote management, operation, and maintenance of the entire network, which greatly reduces the investment of equipment cost, labour cost and time cost in the process of wireless network construction.

THE SOLUTION

Jim’s Antennas Horsham installed the RG-EAP602 Acess Point at the motel and was able to take advantage of the self-organizing network features, which realizes auto-discovery, auto-networking and auto-configuration of devices without the need for controllers or Internet access. Jim’s Antennas Horsham can now also perform comprehensive local management or remote management of the equipment in the entire network via the mobile app or web management Ruijie Cloud platform.

THE OUTCOME

The entire Motel complex was able to access the network with fast reliable internet coverage available for guests and employees.
