The myinsight.io Soil Moisture & Temperature kit has been developed to provide Australian farmers real-time soil monitoring data. EnviroPro® sub-surface Soil Probes have been carefully engineered to be accurate, long-life, maintenance-free instruments suitable for all soil types. Their design employs clever techniques to correctly compensate moisture measurements for temperature variations, something not observed in any competitor probes.
Aggregating potentially hundreds of soil sensors together on the myinsight.io dashboard can provide unparalleled insight into soil changes allowing you to develop precision cropping techniques, with a range of applications from developing fertilisation schedules, triggering leaching irrigation on a when-required basis, and alerting to problem areas.
Other applications include composting, mining, environmental monitoring, and scientific research.
This kit is powered using the included 6 Volt 2 Watt solar power kit. The entire system is enclosed in an IP66-rated Fibreglass box, with pole mounting bracket.
