FME Male Crimp Connector for L-195 Coaxial Cable

While less popular than modern types, FME connectors can still be found throughout a range of low-frequency applications including UHF and 3G technologies. This FME Male crimp connector is used to terminate RG-58 and LMR-195 (or equivalent) series braided coaxial cables. The connector has a male body with an internal thread and protruding pin. This couples with the FME female counterpart which can be identified by the rotatable external thread.

Installation is very simple. After preparing the cable, the pin is soldered onto the centre conductor. Next the outer body is pushed over the top until the pin sits flush. A standard 5.4 mm (.213") hex die is used to crimp the ferrule shell to the coaxial cable
