Join Powertec at the GFIA in Focus Expo in Brisbane on 27 & 28 November 2018

GFIA (Global Forum for Innovations in Farming) is a global authority on what’s happening in the agriculture around the world.  Specialising in precision farming, they promote cutting edge innovation in agriculture via exhibitions and conferences, believing that new farming strategies are the only way to feed 9 billion people by 2050.

Powertec’s Head of Technical Department will be presenting some of Powertec’s recent work at the Brisbane GFIA Expo. Powertec’s cutting edge myinsight.io eco system is a full service offering for Internet of Everything requirements specialising in the agricultural industry. We have a number of working models and projects currently in operation at farms around Australia.

We invite you to join us and you can register HERE to attend.  Currently there are a number of free tickets available.

GFIA in Focus Australia

The Australian Government wants Australian agriculture to become a $100 billion industry by 2030. In a recent discussion paper released by former Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull, two key themes to achieve this were: ‘growing sustainably’ whereby the industry should aim to be carbon neutral by 2050  and;  ‘unlocking new technology’ with a favorable tax and policy environment for innovation, connecting every farm to the Internet of Things, and the co-investment into technology development by the government and private sector.

GFIA Australia is located in Queensland because the Queensland Government is aiming to double agricultural output in the State by 2040 delivering vast business opportunities to ag-tech suppliers that are positioned to contribute to this movement. Home to 23,000 farms, Queensland is the largest supplier of fresh fruit and vegetables to Australian consumers, producing 24% of the total gross value of agricultural production in Australia. It is also a prolific livestock producer and Australia’s largest cattle producer.
