Extreme Weather – Freight Update – March 2021

As you are aware, extreme weather events are occurring across NSW / Southern QLD which is having an ongoing impact on transport and logistics services.

There are multiple road closures and detours in place, which is impacting the delivery and collection of freight.

At this stage, most Carrier facilities are remaining open and operational, however, this is contingent on road access continuing to be available.

We are forecasting the below hot spots to be affected given the flood alerts currently in place:

  • Jamisontown
  • Western parts of Penrith
  • Mulgoa
  • Agnes Banks
  • Freemans Reach
  • Cornwallis
  • North Richmond
  • Pitt Town North
  • Wilberforce
  • Gosford
  • North Gosford
  • Newcastle
  • Northern Rivers
  • Coffs Harbour

  • Tamborine
  • Robina
  • Byron Bay
  • Currumbin
  • Mudgeeraba
  • Tallebudgera
  • Tallebudgera Valley
  • Nerang
  • Carrara
  • Worongary
  • Merrimac
  • Burleigh Heads

It is anticipated that this weather will continue through to at least Tuesday night (23/03) and as a result, service delays can be expected for the remainder of the week. If you have any urgent freight movements travelling into these areas, please notify us immediately so that we can work on possible solutions with you.

We will continue to keep you updated on anticipated freight delays throughout this extreme weather event.

We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time.

Kind Regards,
