The PLANET IGS-801M advanced Gigabit Ethernet Switch is a slim-type and industrial with an IP30 metal case featuring DIN rail or wall mount. It consists of 8 10/100/1000Mbps auto negotiation ports and has a power saving mode, ensuring low power consumption in full load operation mode.

  • The IGS-801M can automatically detect network traffic and cable link status and adjusts its power consumption accordingly, enabling the switches to use less power when less active.
  • It can operate in the temperature range -40 to 75 degrees Celsius and can withstand a high level of electromagnetic interference, so can be placed in industrial and harsh environments.

With the 8 10/100/1000Mbps Gigabit Ethernet ports made with non-blocking switch fabric, a high 10Gbps speed throughput is achievable. The IGS-501T can perform wire-speed packets transfer without risk of packet loss. The IGS-801M provides user-friendly but advanced IPv6/IPv4 management interfaces and abundant L2/L4 switching functions.

It can be programmed for advanced switch management functions such as dynamic port link aggregation, 802.1Q VLAN and Q-in-Q VLAN, Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol (MSTP), loop and BPDU guard, IGMP snooping, and MLD snooping. Via the link aggregation, the IGS-801M allows the operation of a high-speed trunk to combine with multiple ports and supports fail-over as well. Also, the Link Layer Discovery Protocol (LLDP) is the Layer 2 protocol included to help discover basic information about neighbouring devices on the local broadcast domain. Its functionality includes broadcast/multicast storm control and per port bandwidth control.

The port security function can limit the number of network devices on a port. Offering comprehensive IPv4/IPv6 Layer 2 to Layer 4 Access Control List (ACL) network access can be restricted as desired and packets can be denied based on IP address or source. Its protection mechanism also comprises 802.1X port-based user and device authentication to block illegal users.
