The myinsight.io system is revolutionising the way Australia does business.

We have customised this weather station to form part of the myinsight.io ecosystem and as such, it is not a standalone device.

In standalone mode, you have a couple of choices to read the data.

CHOICES:

• An LCD screen on the weather station that you can go up and read
• A USB port that you can take a laptop up to the weather station and download the data
• A wireless module that can transmit the weather station data up to 300m to an LCD screen

Wind speed and direction measurements are essential for effective crop spraying and alerting to potential storm events. Combined with Machine Control Kits, weather data may be used to trigger automatic actions such as retracting communications masts, closing windows, and shutting off electrical hardware.

The Powertec Local Weather Data kit takes the weather station data and transmits it over WiFi, LoRa, NB-IoT (specific 4G) or we can connect a cellular router and present it on a dashboard. We have the ability to replicate this as many times as required on the same dashboard.

This kit is powered using the included 2 Volt 3 Watt solar power kit. The system includes a 3.7v LiPo battery and a compatible solar charger/ controller. The entire system is enclosed in an IP66-rated Fibreglass box, with a pole mounting bracket.
