A 4.3-10 series coaxial surge protector is designed to work with 4.3-10 series equipment in RF systems. It’s typically used to protect sensitive equipment from power surges and transient voltages that can occur in radio frequency transmission lines due to events like lightning strikes, power line surges, or electromagnetic pulses.

4.3-10 series connectors are lighter and smaller than their predecessors (like 7/16 DIN connectors) while maintaining the same robust performance characteristics, including low passive intermodulation (PIM), high power handling, and reliable mechanical and electrical performance. With enhanced weather resistance and RF performance they largely replace the outdated N-Type connector.

4.3-10 series coaxial surge protectors are often found in cellular base stations, distributed antenna systems (DAS), in-building wireless systems, radar and satellite communication systems, and broadcasting systems.
